This is a BMW 1951 R25/2 serial number 248735 (on both engine and chassis) with same year Steib sidecar. A rare bike with a rare sidecar! The bike was purchased in Greece in 1975 by the previous owners who spent several enjoyable years touring the countryside with it. In 1984 it was dismantled and shipped to the USA. It was restored over a period of five years and it and the sidecar are in fair running condition. There are a very few minor scratches on the paint, there is virtually no rust but there is however a tear in the driver's seat. The sidecar has a little rust which was taken care of during the restoration. It could probably use a new paint job primarily because the striping was done by hand and is a little wide. Everything on it is authentic.
