1956 BMW Isetta 300

The BMW Isetta was made between 1955 and 1962. This car has a unique front opening door. It is powered by a 300cc single cylinder motor.

This is what the previous owner said about my Isetta:

"One of the hardest to find Isetta's are the Bubble Window models Especially in this shape! This will make an easy fixer up for this winter! ... ALL the Glass is Original and in great shape! Sun roof hardware is there, missing is the link arm between the 2 wipers. "

"We have tried to get the engine running, the starter turns the engine over great. We did not hear any signs of a knock or other damage. We did a compression test that turned out 75 lbs.  ... By chan[g]ing the coil & giving it a jump we have gotten it to run. We still have to spray fuel into carb to keep it running but it sounds like a good solid motor!"

"The brake, clutch, & gas pedals were tight but with just a little penentrating oil they now operate, the gas is still a little tight but moves. The transmission and rea[r] chain drive all look good. The small rubber elbow between the carb and the aircleaner is missing. The battery box is rusted in the front & back and would need replacing. The voltage regulator looks a little if-fy."

"The car is missing the 300 emblem and the drivers side mirror. We have installed the front bumper bar that we had. ... The clearest fault of this find is the rear bumper & bars are missing. The right front bumper bar has a small dent. Car rolls good with rf brake shoes removed. Seat is in Good shape. Floor & other areas of the car are NOT rusted out, other car parts were stored on the floor of this car which left grease and oil on it keeping it from rusting out. It has been repainted in the past. On left side of car below the z trim there is a hole cut into side. We have been told it was done for exhaust venting, the metal is sound."
