This bike has high sentimental value to me because a 350 four was my primary
transportation in college. As far as I can tell, the CB350F was the smallest 4 cylinder bike ever imported to the USA. The bike has a SOHC motor with 4 tiny carbs. There are all the complexities of a bigger bike only everyting is 3/4 size. I purchased this bike for $100 it was a low mileage original bike that had been vandelized and otherwise mistreated in it's life. The engine was perfect except for needing a cleanup. These pictures were taken before the restoration: |
The bike was completely dissasembled and the frame powder coated, nuts and bolts were
polished or replaced.. The exhaust system was replaced with NOS origninal parts as
was the seat, rear fender, tachometer and some other bits.. It was repainted with a
matched color. Midway through the restoration the bike was reassembled and taken to a vintge bike show. It got 3rd place! Still needed: Polish engine covers, polish fork sliders, rechrome rims and front fender, reapply stickers. |
